Technology awareness programme for Pink coders in association with Femme

Talrop Techies Park, Jamia Nadwiyya, Edavanna

Women as a demographic are still discriminated in the tech industry. Unfortunately, the woman holds less than 25% of jobs in the tech field. Talrop thought to empower women by giving them the right knowledge and skills and guide them through the right path to prepare them to compete in the tech world. Talrop Femme, a community Initiative by Talrop to support this cause, proudly presented its new platform labelled PINK CODERS. Technology awareness programme for Pink Coders at Talrop Techies Park, Jamia Nadwiyya, Edavanna, Malappuram on 29th June 2019. This platform would prove to encourage all the girls to strive to gain hold of latest technologies and acquire top career and by : 1) Instilling self-confidence by fostering leadership skills. 2) and helping them unlock the power of collaboration, teaching girls to troubleshoot and problem-solve with their peers. They have the industry experience to share. Many of Talrop’s instructors are graduates who work in IT fields like computer science, graphic design, and business development. On a recent workshop, five students from Jamia Nadwiyya were selected through an entrance exam. ‘A little about PINK CODERS and Femme’ presentation event was organised for the parents of the lucky five’s on 29th June 2019 at Talrop Techies Park, Jamia Nadwiyya. Parents reported the event to be more informative and requisite.
